La Salle-Peru junior Carlie Miller was named Class 1A Third-Team All State by the Illinois High School Tennis Coaches Association.
Miller finished the season 24-12 and advanced to the second day of the state tournament, finishing in the top 24.
Mendota dominates All-Three Rivers Conference soccer team
In the first season the Three Rivers Conference offered boys soccer as a league sport, Mendota dominated on the field and now in the postseason awards.
The Trojans went 6-0 in conference play and had nine players named to the all-conference team, led by unanimous picks Yahir Diaz and Rafa Romero.
Also making the first-team for Mendota were David Garcia, Johnathan Cortez, Jasiel Watson, Josue Arteaga and Manny Trejo.
Princeton’s Carlos Benevidez and DePue-Hall’s Francisco Moreno also made the first team.
Mendota’s Luis Garcia and Edgar Arteaga were voted to the second team along with DePue-Hall’s Gianmario Nugnes and Princeton’s Ethan Thompson, Reid Orwig and Khristian Whitfield.
Princeton’s Connor Stopka, Trent Goodale, Matthew Sims, Beam Chanson and Alex Jagers were honorable mention selections.
