The Illinois Valley Pistol Shrimp announced their theme night schedule for their inaugural season at Veterans Park in Peru.
The home opener is May 28.
The Shrimp will host Wally the Wallaroo Night on July 24 celebrating the wallaroo that got loose in Peru in December 2020 and made news across the country.
Other theme nights are Country Night (June 5), Polish Heritage Night (June 10), Super Hero Night (June 12), Salute to the Military benefitting the Illinois Freedom Run (June 20), 80s Big Hair Night (June 25), Scout Night (June 30), Bark in the Park Night (July 1), Ladies Night (July 8), Sunday Fun Day Family Beach Bash (Jully 11), Frightful Friday — Halloween in July (July 16), Craft Beer Night (July 17), German Fest (July 22), Little League Day (Aug. 1) and Fan Appreciation Night (Aug. 4).
The Shrimp are members of the 16-team Prospect League.

Fieldcrest players earn all-conference
Eighth members of the Fieldcrest football team were selected to the All-Heart of Illinois Conference Team.
Senior Jaxon Cusac-McKay was a unanimous selection at running back and defensive back.
Henry Lorton was unanimously picked at wide receiver and also was voted second-team defensive back.
Travis Sunken was a first-team pick at linebacker and a second-team selection at offensive line, while Jordan Hochecker was a first-team pick at offensive line.
Cory Land was voted second-team at quarterback, while linebacker Austin Jefford, defensive lineman Zac Cremer and kicker Jacob Joyal were honorable mention selections.
