Elmhurst University recognizes that in the past year, the COVID-19 pandemic has taken a financial, emotional and academic toll on many students and their families.
To support students who have struggled as a result of the pandemic, the university has created the COVID Relief Grant. The grant is a renewable scholarship of up to $1,000 that can be awarded to incoming students who indicate that they have been affected by COVID-19. The grant will be given in addition to any financial aid a student already may have been awarded.
All incoming first-year and transfer students for the fall 2021 and spring 2022 terms are eligible for the grant. Students can indicate on their admission application that they have been negatively affected by COVID-19, and then identify whether the impact has been academic, financial, health-related or other. Applications will be reviewed weekly. First-year and transfer students who already have been admitted for fall 2021 also will be notified about this opportunity.
