GENEVA – Patients at Northwestern Medicine Delnor Hospital in Geneva may have been alarmed by a fire alarm there at 12:46 p.m. Wednesday, but there was no fire – just a faulty sensor.
In an email, Geneva Fire Chief Michael K. Antenore stated that the fire department responded to an activated fire alarm.
“Upon arrival, no hazards were found and after a short investigation the alarm activation was discovered to be caused by a faulty water flow sensor,” Antenore’s email stated. “The sensor was repaired yesterday afternoon.”
