Wanting to learn more about the businesses and organizations that make up Oswego and its surrounding areas?
An opportunity is headed your way this spring via the Oswego Area Chamber of Commerce’s annual Hometown Expo. The event is set for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, April 17, and this year will be held at the Kendall County Fairgrounds, 10826 Illinois 71, Yorkville. The new location will allow for indoor and outdoor areas to ensure social distancing.
During the popular expo, which is free and open to the public, business and community organizations will have the opportunity to promote their products and services. The day will also include a food court, demonstrations, family activities, giveaways, electronics recycling and paper shredding, and more. A professional exhibition company has been retained to design and set-up the show floor.
Coordinators said the expo is a win-win for everyone.
“For businesses it is a fantastic way to market to the community and meet many people who attend the event every year,” said Oswego Area Chamber of Commerce President Angie Hibben.
For attendees, it’s a great way to find local businesses to work with that are Chamber members.
“It gives them a chance to talk many times directly with the owner of the business and learn more about them,” Hibben said. “They will also get to see the Kendall County Fairgrounds and its wonderful facilities.”
Attendees can also register for a chance to win a $500 door prize.
