Illinois has 1,465 more cases of COVID-19 and saw an additional 68 deaths, the Illinois Department of Public Health announced Friday.
Illinois has now seen 17,887 confirmed cases and 596 deaths.
The state has tested 87,527 people.
Chicago has 7,230 confirmed cases of COVID-19, while the rest of Cook County has 5,242.
Lake County has 1,230 confirmed cases, Will 1,077, DuPage 1,008, Kane 339, McHenry 206, Kendall 92, DeKalb 32, Whiteside 24, La Salle 19, Ogle 16, Grundy 15, Lee 12, Carroll five, and Bureau four.
Newly reported deaths include 47 in Cook County, six in Will and DuPage, four in Lake, two in Kane and one in Kankakee, Rock Island and St. Clair counties.
