Joliet man arrested on child porn charge

A Joliet man was arrested after Illinois State Police investigators say they found electronic devices that contained child pornography.

On Wednesday, agents with Illinois State Police Zone 3 executed a search warrant at the 700 block of Wilcox Street in Joliet after an investigation involving child pornography, Illinois State Police Sgt. Delila Garcia said. During the execution of the warrant, Garcia said agents made contact with Jose Leon Jr., 30, who lives on Wilcox Street.

“Analysis of electronics gathered at the residence, admittedly belonging to Leon, contained child pornography,” Garcia said.

The Will County State’s Attorney’s Office authorized charges of child pornography against Leon, who was taken to the Will County jail. He was scheduled for a bond hearing Thursday.

This year, investigations by the Illinois State Police have led to child pornography charges against three other men.

In June, John Dieter, 21, of the 100 block of Jessie Street in Joliet was arrested on a child pornography charge.

In May, Christian Rousseau-Zablockij, 28, of the 200 block of Seabury Road in Bolingbrook was also arrested on a child pornography charge.

In April, Cordale Hallin, 32, of the 1700 block of Countryside Drive in Shorewood was charged with child pornography. He was previously convicted of child pornography in 2014.

Hallin has been in state prison since April 24, according to the Illinois Department of Corrections. He has not yet been taken to the Will County jail.
