La Salle County coronavirus update: More than 17,000 residents fully-vaccinated

More than 17,000 La Salle County residents are fully-vaccinated.

There were 587 more doses of COVID-19 vaccine administered to La Salle County residents on Friday, increasing the total number of doses administered to 46,601.

With those doses, there are 17,144 fully-vaccinated residents, which is 15.67% of the county’s population.

The La Salle County Health Department announced 42 new cases of COVID-19 since Thursday, bringing the county’s total number of cases to 11,464 since the beginning of the pandemic.

There were 87 more residents removed from isolation since Thursday, increasing that total to 9,652 who have been removed from isolation.

The new cases are two girls under the age of 13, a boy n his teens, two girls in their teens, five men in their 20s, four women in their 20s, two men in their 30s, five women in their 30s, four men in their 40s, seven women in their 40s, three men in their 50s, four women in their 50s, a man in his 60s, a woman in her 60s, and a woman in her 90s.
