Land Conservancy of McHenry County to host wildflower walk in Woodstock

The Land Conservancy of McHenry County is holding a spring wildflower walk guided by restoration ecologist Megan Oropeza, who will guide participants through a high-quality woodland, share information about each wildflower and provide identification tips, according to a news release.

The walk is planned for 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Ryders Woods, 750 Kimball Ave. in Woodstock.

Participants will meet in the parking lot at Ryders Woods prior to the event. The group size is limited to 20, and masks are required.

The fee is $5, and registration can be completed online at ConserveMC.org.

The Land Conservancy of McHenry County is a member-based nonprofit dedicated to preserving natural, scenic and agricultural land, according to the release.
