To the Editor:
Why does the Yorkville Park District and the city of Yorkville think it is a good idea to inconvenience library employees, library patrons and the taxpayers of Yorkville to move the preschool into the library building?
The current preschool is located in a perfectly acceptable building now. A preschool in the library, a building open to the public, seems like it would be a security concern for the children. Traffic in the parking lot could be a concern, as well, with pickup and drop-off of preschoolers, library patrons parking or dropping off books and high school students at dismissal.
This is not what was intended for the library when taxpayers approved the new building.
