Long-Term Care Insurance – Ain’t Nobody Got Time for That!

Former First Lady Rosalynn Carter said, “There are only four kinds of people in the world: those who have been caregivers, those who are currently caregivers, those who will be caregivers, and those who will need caregivers.”

While many us know we should plan for the financial costs and burdens of aging many put it off.

“Often, I hear that a person doesn’t have time to think about it now,” said Matt McCann, a nationally known expert in Long-Term Care Planning.

McCann explains that waiting is not the best option.

“Affordable LTC insurance will protect your 401(k) and other assets while, at the same time reduce the burdens caregiving can place on your family. But your good health, today, gives you the best and most affordable options. Most people plan in their 40′s and 50′s as part of their overall retirement planning,” McCann said.

He gives an example of a 52-year-old who could get a nice plan for about $78 a month. Yet if they were 62, the plan would run about $100. However, if that 52-year-old waited 10 years the premium, assuming no health changes and no insurance company product changes, would run about $163.

“Long-Term Care Insurance is easy and affordable asset protection. We are all busy but taking the time to review options will not only save you money and protect your assets but give you peace-of-mind knowing you will never burden your family,” McCann said.

McCann speaks with clients on the phone as they see his computer screen from a special link from his website. This way they can learn their options, ask questions and get professional recommendations. Then he helps them shop for the best coverage at the best value so they have something specific to think about.
