DIXON – The Dixon American Legion will serve a grilled rib-eye steak dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, or until food runs out, at its hall at 1120 First St.
Also on the menu are choice of baked potatoes or fries and a vegetable, roll, salad, and dessert for $20.
Call 815-284-2003 by 4 p.m. Thursday, and specify if the meal is carry-out or dine-in to ensure there is enough food for all. Walk-ins are welcome, but the meals usually are gone or spoken for by 4 p.m. Friday or so.
Proceeds benefit Legion-supported programs.
There will be no meal July 2. The Legion will have a cookout from 4-8 p.m. July 4; hamburger or brat, chips and drink, $5; hot dog, chips and drink, $4; brat or hamburger only, $4; hot dog only, $3. There is no need to call ahead.
