Hinsdale South’s Nikki Berger

Nikki Berger, Hinsdale South, junior, outfielder: Illinois Softball Coaches Association Class 3A Third Team All-State pick hit .500 with a .565 on-base percentage. Berger had 14 doubles, five homers, 20 RBIs and scored 16 runs with three stolen bases. Defensively made 23 catches in center field.

Benet's Elayna Brdecka

Benet’s Elayna Brdecka

Elayna Brdecka, Benet, junior, pitcher: All-conference pick led Benet team with no seniors to regional title, first since 2013. Brdecka hit .407 with 11 doubles, three triples, one homer, 37 RBIs and 21 runs scored.

York senior Lauren Derkowski

York senior Lauren Derkowski

Lauren Derkowski, York, senior, pitcher: Michigan recruit and Illinois Softball Coaches Association Class 4A First Team All-State pick led Dukes to West Suburban Silver title and sectional final. Derkowski posted 18-2 record with 257 strikeouts in 124 2/3 innings and 0.56 ERA with just 10 earned runs allowed. Topped 700 career strikeouts over three seasons. At the plate hit .500 with 1.764 OPS, 12 homers, five doubles, 36 RBIs and 26 runs scored.

Downers Grove South's Brynn Dvoracek

Downers Grove South’s Brynn Dvoracek

Brynn Dvoracek, Downers Grove South, senior, first baseman: Cleanup hitter had five game-winning hits for Mustangs team that won West Suburban Gold and regional titles. Dvoracek hit .453 with four homers, six doubles and 28 RBIs.

York's Emily Fujiwara

York’s Emily Fujiwara

Emily Fujiwara, York, junior, second baseman: Illinois Softball Coaches Association Class 4A Second Team All-State pick hit .400 with a 1.269 OPS and seven homers, nine doubles, 28 RBIs and 19 runs scored. At second base Fujiwara had a .981 fielding percentage in 51 chances.

Wheaton North's Ellie Hubbard

Wheaton North’s Ellie Hubbard

Ellie Hubbard, Wheaton North, senior, shortstop: Wisconsin recruit and Illinois Softball Coaches Association Class 4A First Team All-State pick set school records for single-season home runs (10), batting average (.600) and RBIs (46) and Wheaton North career records for career batting average (.470) and RBIs (82). Hubbard also had 12 doubles, two triples and scored 33 runs with a .694 on-base percentage.

Glenbard West's Kiley Koziol

Glenbard West’s Kiley Koziol

Kiley Koziol, Glenbard West, senior, pitcher: Aurora University commit and Illinois Softball Coaches Association Class 4A Second Team All-State pick was a stellar two-way player for Hilltoppers. Koziol hit .515 with seven doubles, four homers and 28 RBIs and drew nine walks. As a pitcher posted 12-7 record with 2.14 ERA and 149 strikeouts over 121 innings.

Lemont's Sage Mardjetko

Lemont’s Sage Mardjetko

Sage Mardjetko, Lemont, sophomore, pitcher: Illinois Softball Coaches Association Class 3A First Team All-State pick led Indians to second place in Class 3A, tossing no-hitter with 16 strikeouts in supersectional win over Washington and threw 12 straight shutout innings at state. On the year posted 16-2 record with 0.285 ERA and 259 strikeouts in 123 innings with just five earned runs allowed. At the plate Mardjetko hit .370 with five doubles, one homer, 15 RBIs and 15 runs scored.

Montini’s Kora Navarro

Kora Navarro, Montini, junior, pitcher: GCAC Player of the Year and Illinois Softball Coaches Association Class 3A Second Team All-State pick led Lady Broncos to sectional final as stellar two-way threat. Posted 16-2 record, her only regular-season loss to Class 4A champ Marist, and 1.56 ERA with 137 strikeouts in 116 1/3 innings. At the plate hit .466 with five doubles, one triple, six homers, 25 runs scored and 27 RBIs.

St. Francis' Annika Norman

St. Francis’ Annika Norman

Annika Norman, St. Francis, senior, shortstop: A starter on Spartans’ state team in 2019, Norman this spring was a terrific leadoff hitter and Illinois Softball Coaches Association Class 3A First Team All-State pick. Norman hit .593 with12 doubles, three triples and 18 RBIs and struck out just two times in 81 at-bats.

Riverside-Brookfield's Hannah Organ

Riverside-Brookfield’s Hannah Organ

Hannah Organ, Riverside-Brookfield, junior, pitcher: Illinois Softball Coaches Association Third Team All-State pick and Metro Suburban Conference MVP hit .474 with nine doubles, five homers, 23 RBIs and 22 runs scored. On the mound posted a 2.05 ERA with 115 strikeouts in 85 1/3 innings.

Katey Pierce, Wheaton Warrenville South, senior, pitcher: Tigers’ No. 3 hitter also threw all but four innings this season. Posted 15-8 record with 1.79 ERA and 201 strikeouts in 149 innings. At the plate hit .360 with two doubles, a homer, 12 RBIs and 10 runs scored.

Lemont's Frankie Rita

Lemont’s Frankie Rita

Frankie Rita, Lemont, sophomore, catcher: Illinois Softball Coaches Association Class 3A Second Team All-State pick for 27-5 Lemont team that took second in first state appearance since 1989. Rita hit .526, tops among Lemont starters, with 50 hits, 13 doubles, two triples, two homers, 31 RBIs and 39 runs scored.

Wheaton North's Lauren Vaughn

Wheaton North’s Lauren Vaughn

Lauren Vaughn, Wheaton North, junior, third baseman: Syracuse commit was an Illinois Softball Coaches Association Class 4A Third Team All-State selection. Vaughn hit .457 with 12 doubles, one triple, eight home runs, 32 RBIs and 39 runs scored with a .514 on-base percentage in helping lead Falcons to second place in DuKane Conference.
