The Clearbrook Crusaders Are Ready to Run at the Extravaganza!

Clearbrook has been a part of the Northern Illinois community area since the 1960′s. The nonprofit empowers thousands of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Clearbrook West, an expansion of Clearbrook, offers a variety of programs and services such as home-based, community day services, mental health services, and more.

An involved Clearbrook family, the Fiorentino’s, have been a part of the organization for over five years. Ed Fiorentino is a member of Clearbook’s Board of Directors. Their son lives in one of Clearbrook’s Community Integrated Living Arrangements. Fiorentino said “Clearbrook is a very client centric organization. They make decisions based on what’s best for the people they serve. The direct staff that work with my son are caring, compassionate, and committed.” Clearbrook is known for the high level of care they provide to those entrusted to them. The organization is committed to enriching the lives of the individuals they serve to help them grow and be more independent in their home and within the community.

Clearbrook West is home to over 200 adults. Based in McHenry County, the nonprofit is thrilled to be participating in the virtual Human Race Extravaganza from April 25-May 9. Hosted by the Volunteer Center of McHenry County each year, participants choose a local nonprofit to support. The 5K run or walk will be held virtually this year due to the pandemic.
