A woman was taken to the hospital after being shot Friday night in Lake in the Hills.
Lake in the Hills police were dispatched at 9 p.m. to the 1300 Block of Cunat Court for an unknown medical issue, according to a news release.
When police arrived and investigated, they determined a woman had been shot, according to the release. The woman was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
The McHenry County Major Investigation Assistance Team was contacted to assist with the investigation, according to the release.
Extra police presence will continue in the area.
