The Yorkville Area Chamber of Commerce once again is inviting area families to its annual Biz Boo! business Halloween trick-or-treat event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. this Saturday, Oct. 23.
During the event, participating businesses throughout the city will welcome costumed children and families to visit for treats, games, face painting, crafts, drawings, pumpkin decorating, a scarecrow walk and more. Posters will be displayed at participating businesses and a business listing will be posted at yorkvillechamber.org.
Businesses may take part by registering online at yorkvillechamber.org.
In conjunction with the Biz Boo! event, a touch-a-truck event will take place at NCG Yorkville Cinemas.
A number of first responder vehicles will be on display including firetrucks, ambulances, squad cars and a Humvee, courtesy of the Yorkville Police Department, Bristol Kendall Fire Department, and Kendall County Sheriff’s Office.
Also, a World War II-era Jeep from Yorkville American Legion Post 489, a school bus from Septran, plus commercial vehicles from Davey Tree, Advanced Disposal and others will be available for up-close inspection.
