Update: South Fourth Street now open after semi-trailer crash Tuesday

DeKALB – Fourth Street is now reopen after a semi-trailer crash caused the road to be shut down for about an hour and a half Tuesday.

DeKalb police asked residents to avoid the area under the I-88 overpass on South Fourth Street.

The road was closed around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday due to wires down in the street after a car crash involving a semi trailer.

Fourth Street was closed off from Fairview to Keslinger Road. DeKalb police and fire were on the scene, along with the Illinois State Police.

DeKalb police sent a citywide alert around 1 p.m. that Fourth Street was now reopen.
