1 sent to hospital after DeKalb crash

DeKALB – One person was taken to the hospital after a two-vehicle crash at 11:20 a.m. Tuesday at Bethany Road and Route 23, according to DeKalb police, and another received two tickets.

Hannah Corn, 20, of North Aurora, was charged with failure to yield and for driving without insurance after she turned her tan Buick LeSabre from Route 23 onto Bethany Road and collided a white Ford Fusion, according to DeKalb police.

The driver of the Fusion was taken to Northwestern Medicine Kishwaukee Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Crews from Sycamore Fire Department also responded to the crash. Police remained on scene for about 45 minutes.
