The Batavia United Way is asking community members to create handmade Valentines cards for senior citizens in assisted living, rehabilitation and long-term care facilities in Batavia.
Homemade cards will be collected through Feb. 9 in a drop box located at the city of Batavia building, 100 N. Island Ave., according to a news release.
Local senior citizens are important to the community and have been impacted significantly by safety restrictions over the course of the pandemic. This is a way to brighten their day in a safe and responsible way, the release stated.
