DeKALB – The DeKalb School District 428 Board will hold a special meeting Tuesday to vote on several personnel changes for the 2019-20 school year, including reassignments and new hires.
The special meeting is set for 8:30 a.m. at the D428 Education Center, 901 S. Fourth St., DeKalb.
If approved, Stacey Santarromana will be hired as an annually employed substitute for Jefferson Elementary School at $95 a day, district documents show. Marcus Lewis would be a fifth grade teacher also at Jefferson, with a $42,100 salary. Mary Jo Kent would take on an art teacher role district-wide for $47,700.
The district is looking to reassign four psychologists. If approved, Anne Reineck would work in Founders and Lincoln elementary schools with a $60,800 salary; Monica Vidal would be in Littlejohn, Founders and Cortland elementary schools and make $57,100 annually; Trisha Bailey would be in the Early Learning and Development Center and Jefferson Elementary School with a $72,000 salary; and Christopher Colson would be assigned to Brooks and Tyler elementary schools with a $55,900 salary.
If approved, Samuel Hiatt would also be reassigned as a DeKalb High School physical education teacher with a $50,100 salary.
Kelsey Borg would be reassigned to Tyler Elementary and the Early Learning and Development Center as a speech language pathologist with a $58,900 salary.
Kelly Meyer, school nurse, would be reassigned to Brooks Elementary, Huntley Middle School and the Education Center, with a salary of $58,000, if approved.
Three resignations are also listed, effective earlier this month.
