DeKalb County Community Foundation awards $89,352 in support of music education

SYCAMORE– The DeKalb County Community Foundation reports that $89,352 in spring Farny R. Wurlitzer Foundation Fund Grants benefited a total of 28 nonprofits and community organizations across the greater Chicagoland area for music education.

“Our board of advisors recognize that this is a very unusual grant cycle,” said George Buck, advisory committee chair for the Wurlitzer Foundation Fund. “We realize that due to COVID-19, many of our grant recipients are unable to function normally at this time. In this cycle we granted a great deal of general operating support to aid in sustainability for these organizations.”
