DeKalb Elks give $3,500 donation to Camp Maple Leaf

DeKALB – DeKalb Elks Lodge 765 donated $3,500 to help support campers at Camp Maple Leaf, offered through the Kishwaukee Special Recreation Association (KSRA).

Every year, the DeKalb Elks Lodge 765 serves a lunch to the campers at Camp Maple Leaf and donates money to sponsor families in need.

Although this year’s camp experience was different due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Elks were still able to donate $3,500 which was applied to registration fees for four families and supplies for the other campers.

Through the Elks donation, KSRA staff were able to purchase a variety of sprinklers and baby pools which allowed some cooling water fun for the kids as the pools were not open this year.
