English mastiff mix ready for home and family

GRAYSLAKE – Amelia says, “Someone reported that I was running at large with another dog but wouldn’t come close to people. So as sightings were reported, they figured out the area where I was hanging out and set a trap. I had no idea what it was but there was food in there. …. I was emaciated when I first got here, but with two great meals a day and treats in between, my belly is always full and I am starting to feel so good. Then you get walks, toys, petting and more. This is all so awesome. I can’t wait now to find my own family.”

Amelia, an English mastiff mix, is about 10 months old, spayed, up to date on shots (including rabies), tested negative for heartworm and on preventive and microchipped.

All meetings and adoptions currently are by appointment only (no walk-ins). For information and/or to complete an online application, visit www.saveapetil.org/adopt.
