Faranda's in DeKalb seeks non-profit partners for annual Lenten Fish Fry series

DeKALB – Faranda’s Banquet Center in DeKalb is gearing up for fish fry season, and is looking for local organizations interested in partnering and collecting a portion of profits from sales.

Faranda’s will kick off its 2020 Lenten Fish Fry Series Feb. 21 a the banquet center, 302 Grove Street in DeKalb, according to a news release. The series will host seven Friday fish fries through Lent before ending April 3. Each fish fry runs from 5 to 8 p.m. Fridays, and each nonprofit partner will receive a percentage of sales as specified by dinner guests attending the dinner.

Interested nonprofits have until Friday to submit their information by contacting Shannon Peura at 815-981-3304 or shannon@farandas.com. Organizations need to include the name of their nonprofit, a contact person and an address to mail the check after the event. Partners who would like to be included in the printed tithing cards also need to submit their information by Friday.
