Former Minooka High School board member says she was 'scapegoat' for racism in district

A former Minooka Community High School District 111 Board of Education member who resigned months ago after she was accused of racism is now saying she was used as a “scapegoat.”

Lori Lakota sent The Herald-News a four-page written statement about the events leading up to her resignation in May and accused the former District 111 principal of starting a rumor about her saying she wouldn’t want a Black teacher to teach her children.
