Fox Valley Snowdrifters Ski Club plans outdoor meeting in Geneva

Fox Valley Snowdrifters Ski Club will hold its first face-to-face meeting in several months, gathering outdoors at 7 p.m. Monday, July 20, at Wheeler Park in Geneva.

The 2021 ski trips will go on sale that night, a news release stated. The club is going to Schweitzer Mountain in Idaho from Jan. 23 to 28, 2021; Panorama Ski Resort in British Columbia, Canada, from Feb. 18 to 23; and Paganello and Verona, Italy, from March 6 to 17.

Club dues must be paid before any trips can be reserved. Hot dogs and chips will be served at the meeting. Participants should bring their own drinks, and no alcohol is permitted in the park.

The group will meet at 101 North St., which is at the south end of the Geneva park, which lies off Route 31 just south of St. Charles. For more information, call Joan at 630-567-6407.

The Fox Valley Snowdrifters Ski Club draws members from across northern Illinois who enjoy the outdoors by participating in traveling the world for snow skiing or boarding, other active outdoor activities and a host of social events.
