Two people were taken to AMITA Health St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates after a two-vehicle, head-on collision in Barrington Hills.
According to the Barrington Countryside Fire Protection District, the crash occurred at 5:45 p.m. at Dundee Road and Old Sutton Road. All occupants were out of the vehicles by the time first responders arrived, firefighters said.
Two people were taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
The scene was cleared by 6:30 p.m.
Firefighters said there was heavy damage to the vehicles.
