Mariam Azeez, Lincoln-Way East, senior

On everyone’s list across the state as one of the top track & field athletes in the state. She is one of the best sprinters and long jumpers in the state. Add her to any of the Griffins relays and they become title contenders. She is the defending state champion in the 100 meters and finished second in the long jump and third in the 200 meters at last season state championships. She is a vital key for the Griffins to defend their team title this year.

Sophia Barnard, Lincoln-Way East, senior

She would be a star on most teams in Illinois, but this senior is one of the top hurdles and sprinters in the state and adds so much depth the the defending state champion Griffins. She will do anything to help the team score points and is very versatile.

Minooka's Kathryn Cichon

Kathryn Cichon, Minooka, senior

Cichon will be one of the area’s top performers in the 400 and 800 and will be a big part of Minooka’s 4 X 800 relay, which is one of the best in the state.

Plainfield Central's Tessani Foster

Tessani Foster, Plainfield Central, senior

Foster was the top 3A pole vaulter in the state during the indoor season. She has improved tremendously over the past year and will be a factor to win a state title in the pole vault for the Wildcats.

Plainfield East's Elissa Perkins

Plainfield East’s Elissa Perkins

Elissa Perkins, Plainfield East, junior

Perkins is a very versatile athlete who is the area’s top triple jumper and is a part of the ultra successful Bengals sprint relay squads that will be eyeing a podium appearance come the state meet.
