The Hinckley Lions Club is celebrating 50 years in the community and, to commemorate the occasion, will host a drive-thru pork chop dinner Monday.
Founded in April of 1970 by a group of local businessmen and area farmers the club has grown over the years with the support of the Hinckley community.
To thank the community and celebrate 50 years the Hinckley Lions Club will be holding a pork chop dinner catered by 5B’s on Monday, May 18.
Delivery is available for Seniors only by calling 815-286-3273 by 2 p.m. on Monday. Meals will be delivered between 4:30 and 5:30 p.m.
This event is a drive thru pickup dinner from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Hinckley United Methodist Church parking lot, 801 N. Sycamore St., Hinckley.
Come out and join the Hinckley Lions Club in celebrating 50 years of service at the reduced price of only $10.00 which will include a complete two chop dinner with dessert.
To further celebrate Hinckley Lions Club 50 years in service they have challenged the Hinckley community to support the publication of the Hinckley Update. This is a community wide news publication produced by volunteers and mailed community wide. In honor of the Hinckley Lions Club 50 years in service the Club will match the first 50 – $50.00 donations made by individuals to the Update.
