A 30-year-old Huntley man has been found guilty of four felony charges tied to the sexual assault of a woman in Huntley, the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office said Tuesday.
Christopher Rodriguez charged in March 2019 in connection to the October 2018 assault of a woman, according to the criminal complaint filed in McHenry County court by the Huntley Police Department.
He was later indicted on three counts of criminal sexual assault, a class 1 felony, and one count of criminal sexual abuse, a class 4 felony. Class 1 felonies typically carry sentences of 4 to 15 years in prison.
McHenry County Judge Michael Coppedge found Rodriguez guilty on all four counts Friday, according to the release from the State’s Attorney’s Office.
Rodriguez’s attorney George Kililis declined to comment Tuesday.
Rodriguez subsequently was taken into custody and will remain at the McHenry County Jail through his sentencing, which is scheduled for March 17.
