Illinois Valley Community College’s Continuing Education Center will be offering two six-week Cannabis Dispensary Agent/Patient Care Specialist programs in the coming months.
The first, labeled CEU-9906-302, will run from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesdays from Feb. 10 to March 17. The second, CEU-9906-303, will run at the same time Wednesdays between March 31 and May 5.
The program, taught by Joe Naszke, will prepare individuals 21 or over and who pass a background check for many aspects of the medical and recreational cannabis markets. It will provide an overview of Illinois laws regarding Illinois Department of Financial & Professional Regulations and how they are implemented in a dispensary or retail setting in preparation of state licensure.
