The Village of Kingston is embarking on a planning effort that emphasizes community input.
Residents will have the opportunity to share their thoughts through an online survey and at public meetings. The survey can be found at https://www.research.net/r/kingstonplan. Paper copies will be available at Casey’s, the Village Hall and the library.
Kingston’s plan is part of a countywide economic development initiative funded by the DeKalb County Community Foundation. Each community is eligible to receive funding for an initial plan, with additional funding available to help implement one or more of the projects included in the plan.
The Center for Governmental Studies at Northern Illinois University is assisting in conducting the survey and preparing the plan. Residents will be invited to learn about the survey findings and discuss community improvement ideas at a future meeting.
