Another winter weather advisory is on its way to DeKalb County, and residents could see up to five inches of snow by Saturday evening, according to the National Weather Service.

The advisory is in effect from 2 p.m. Friday to 6 p.m. Saturday, with mixed precipitation expected. Roads will be affected and drivers should be on alert during the Friday evening commute.

Snow is expected to begin falling mid to late Friday afternoon and continue through Friday evening with sleet and freezing rain possible late Friday night, the advisory reads.

Residents will get a break from winter weather for a brief respite Saturday morning before temperatures fall, winds increase to 45 mph and light, but blowing snow begins again.

This story will be updated if more closings are announced due to weather.
