To the Editor:
The war in Ukraine presses down so hard, it is difficult to escape writing about it. Let’s try something different, like toilet paper.
The hoarding of toilet paper during the pandemic has brought TP into the news. It wasn’t good citizenship to hoard such a necessary item, but we did. It says something about how much we care for our neighbor. And then there is the thing about how in the world is TP made? This has bugged me for some time. Have you ever thought about how they can do that perforation so that it tears just right (most of the time)?
Also, I suppose the paper starts out in great big rolls and is carefully cut down to what we buy in the store. You see,TP is such a common item, yet it seems amazing – to me anyway.
