A Maple Park man was killed in a snowmobile crash in Wisconsin early Saturday morning.
According to a news release from the Vilas County, Wisc. Sheriff’s Office, Richard J. Hetsley, 38, died after his snowmobile hit a tree around 4 a.m. along the shoreline of Little St. Germain Lake in the town of St. Germain.
Emergency crews determined that Hetsley died on the scene of the accident. Another snowmobiler who was looking for the crash fell through the ice on the lake, but was able to get out of the water with no injuries.
Police continue to investigate the accident.
