SUGAR GROVE – The Sugar Grove Chamber of Commerce will host an open house from 5 to 7 p.m. Feb. 11 at its expanded office located on the bottom floor of the Old Second Bank, 92 Frontage Road, Sugar Grove. Guests will also be able to meet the chamber’s new Executive Director Beth Goncher. The event is free and open to the public, as well as chamber members.
According to a news release, the chamber will discuss its goals for the coming year with attendees, which include a focus on increasing membership, networking opportunities for members and more.The monthly chamber luncheon and presentation will be held at noon on Feb. 13 at the Sugar Grove Fire Protection District building. Heather Pierce of Waubonsee Community College will present on a critical topic, “Mental Health First Aid,” to educate the community on how to be a caring advocate and reduce the stigma of seeking help, the news release stated. Attendees will get a sampling of how to identify risk factors and warning signs of major depression, anxiety disorders, substance abuse and more.
Visitors may attend the monthly luncheon up to two times, but must RSVP to email@example.com. The luncheon cost is $15 reserved, $20 at the door.
