More fetal remains linked to abortion Dr. Klopfer discovered: cops

More fetal remains linked to deceased abortion Dr. Ulrich Klopfer have been discovered, according to police.

The most recent fetal remains were found at a location in Cook County, according to the Will County Sheriff’s Office.

Natalia Derevyanny, spokeswoman for the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office, could not immediately be reached for comment.

Klopfer, a resident of Crete Township, performed abortions in Indiana at clinics in Fort Wayne, South Bend and Gary.

Klopfer died of natural causes Sept. 3. Following his death, his family found more than 2,200 preserved fetal remains stored in cardboard boxes in the garage of his Crete Township home. An attorney for Klopfer’s family then informed the sheriff’s office of the grisly discovery.

The Will County Coroner’s Office took possession of the remains. On Oct. 3, the remains were transported to the St. Joseph County coroner’s office for “safekeeping,” Indiana Attorney General Curtis Hill said last week.

Hill said they will be “given the decency of a burial that they deserve.”
