A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a parked vehicle Monday, July 8, in Plano.
According to Plano police, officers responded to a report of an accident at 6:17 p.m. in the area of Route 34 and Kinsel Street.
Upon further investigation, officers determined that the motorcyclist was traveling east on Route 34 approaching Kinsel Street when he swerved off the road and collided with a parked vehicle in a parking lot in the 1200 block of Route 34.
The motorcyclist, whose identity was not released by police, was transported to an area hospital where he later died.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation. The Plano police were assisted in the investigation of the crash by the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.
