Open Door Rehabilitation Center in Sandwich is among the 20 finalists for the 2019 First National Bank of Omaha Community First Awards.
Alec Gorynski, vice president, community development and corporate philanthropy said the bank has decided the finalists. The Community First Awards recognize and reward nonprofit organizations that are working to strengthen communities across the bank’s service area.
The top organization will receive $25,000 to support a project that will make a significant and tangible community impact.
Nonprofit organizations were invited to nominate their community project during a two-week period ending Aug. 16. Qualifying nominations were then presented to First National Bank employees, who voted to select 20 finalists, including Open Door.
The public is invited to vote between until Friday, Sept. 27, via woobox.com/qzrng5, for the nonprofit organization whose community project they believe will make a significant contribution to the growth and strength of their community.
Individuals are allowed one vote a day. In addition to the first-prize winner, one second-place winner will receive $10,000 and one third-place winner will receive $5,000. The winners will be announced in early October.
