Oswego announces yard waste pick-up, spring clean-up dates

With warmer weather arriving in Oswego, you may have started cleaning your yard and garden, as well as the inside of your home. Please note the following services and start dates:

Yard waste pick-up: Starting the week of April 4, Groot will collect landscape waste in Kraft bags with stickers affixed.

Spring clean-up: The week of April 18, Groot will pick up bulk items, yard waste in Kraft bags and additional garbage, at no additional charge. Yard waste must be placed in 30-gallon Kraft bags, but stickers will not be required during this week only. Groot Industries will not pick up appliances, televisions, electronics or plastic bags containing yard waste. Place all items, along with your garbage and recycling, at the curb by 6 a.m. on your regularly scheduled collection day.

Brush collection: Beginning the weeks of May 2 and May 9, the village offers free pick-up of branches that are less than five inches in diameter from trees and shrubs.
