An Ottawa woman was listed in critical condition Tuesday following a two-vehicle crash at 6:10 p.m. Sunday at U.S. 6 and East 22nd Road, Ottawa police said.
Karen T. Somers, 58, of Ottawa, was taken to OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Ottawa, for injuries sustained after colliding with Gwen E. Niles of rural Seneca, police said.
Ottawa police said Niles also was transported but an OSF spokesman said there was no record of her admission. Somers was ticketed for improper lane use, driving too fast for conditions and no insurance, police said.
