Police blotter: February 15, 2022

Kameron L. Hampton, 19, of La Salle, was charged with driving while suspended, no insurance and improper operation of an ATV on a roadway at 3:39 p.m. Monday at Fifth and LaHarpe streets, La Salle police said. Hampton was charged after complaints of a four-wheeler driven in a residential area, nearly causing an accident, and after La Salle police halted him at Eastside Shell, 802 Third St.

Joseph E. Martin, 28 of rural Ottawa, was charged with speeding (75 mph in a 55-mph zone), improper lane usage, improper turn signal, illegal transportation of alcohol and unlawful possession of cannabis by driver at 9:19 p.m. Sunday on Route 71 at East 2153rd Road in Rutland Township, La Salle County Sheriff’s Office said.

Evan Audi, 18, of Wenona, was charged with failure to yield at a stop intersection after a two-vehicle crash with no injuries at 6:32 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Routes 251 and 71 in Eden Township, La Salle County Sheriff’s Office said. Audi was charged after he collided with a vehicle driven by a 16-year-old boy, police said.

Dangelo M. Williams, 25, of Streator, was charged with driving while suspended, expired registration and no insurance Monday at State and Center streets, Ottawa police said.

Janice L. Sorenson, 58, of Ottawa, was charged with driving while revoked Monday at State and East Glover streets, Ottawa police said.

Lanna L. Runyan, 34, of rural Marseilles, was charged with failure to yield at a stop intersection after a two-vehicle crash with no injuries at 12:54 a.m. Sunday on Route 71 at U.S. 6, Ottawa police said. Runyan was charged after colliding with a vehicle driven by Nina S. Zaragoza of Ottawa, police said.
