Putnam County High School to hold Freshman Student Orientation on March 1

Putnam County High School will host its Freshman Orientation in an open house format to assist incoming students with their transition to high school. The event will start at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 1 in the school commons and gym.

All incoming students are encouraged to attend with their parents or guardians. Students are allowed up to two accompanying people.

Course registration and general expectations will be presented by administration, student representatives and other personnel.

This event will serve as the primary opportunity to review the registration process and expectations as the student moves from junior high to high school.

The event will kick off with an activities showcase at 5:30 p.m. in the commons and gym. A quick assembly will follow in the gym at 6 p.m. At 6:10 p.m. tours around the building will begin with rotations every 10 minutes. The event will dismiss for the evening at 8 p.m.

PCHS announced that they will be following all safety requirements, including grouping and masks. If you have any questions contact the high school office at 815-882-2800 ext 4.
