Rotary Club of Huntley donates $1,000 to Grafton Food Pantry

Grafton Food Pantry received $1,000 from the Rotary Club of Huntley, allowing the purchase of $8,000 worth of food to be bought from the Northern Illinois Food Bank.

Non-perishables are needed, but when the community donates monetarily, the pantry’s purchasing power is multiplied by eight, which increases the amount of food it can provide to the people of Huntley, the Rotary Club of Huntley said in a news release.

For years, the Rotary Club has picked up food products from four village locations and delivered them to the pantry on a weekly or monthly basis, depending upon the location.
