A Sandwich man was found dead after a single-vehicle crash Saturday in Northville Township.
Tim J. Christensen, 59, was traveling north on East 29th Road around a quarter of a mile north of North 4550th Road in a 2001 Chevrolet minivan when, for unknown reasons, he lost control of the vehicle entering a west ditch, according to a press release from the La Salle County Coroner’s Office. The vehicle rolled over and struck a utility pole before catching fire. La Salle County deputies responded to the crash about 12:25 p.m. Saturday and Sandwich EMS were called and extinguished the fire.
Christensen was pronounced dead at the scene by the La Salle County Coroner’s Office.
The case is still under investigation by the La Salle County Sheriff’s Office and the La Salle County Coroner’s Office.
