Sycamore businesses to raise money for St. Albans fire victims

SYCAMORE – Local businesses are banding together to throw a fundraiser for the displaced victims of the fire at St. Albans Green. The Sycamore Chamber of Commerce, along with Blumen Gardens, Taxco Restaurant and Back Country Roads Unplugged will host Sycamore Strong – A Gathering of Hope from 6 to 10 p.m. Wednesday at Blumen Gardens, 403 Edward St. in Sycamore.

The fundraiser will include food from local businesses, beverages and music with 100% of the net proceeds going to Family Service Agency, who will then directly distribute the funds to those families affected by the Saturday fire.

A limited number of tickets will be available. Tickets will be $15 for ages 12 and younger, and $25 for 13 and older when purchased ahead of time. Tickets will be $20 and $35 the day of the event, if not sold out.
