DeKALB – Anyone looking to add a furry family member to their home is invited to Tails Humane Society on Saturday, when all adoption fees for animals older than 6 months will be waived.
Tails, 2250 Barber Greene Road, DeKalb, is participating in its fifth annual Clear the Shelters Day, set for 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
More than 1,200 shelters across the country will participate in the event, which began in 2015.
The program has helped more than 256,000 pets find homes, according to a news release.
