Tornado warning for parts of DeKalb and Kane County until 4:15 p.m.

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado warning for portions of DeKalb County until 4:15 p.m.

According to the alert, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located in Waterman and headed east, with Hinckley, Cortland, Elburn and Big Rock warned specifically as areas the storm was heading through.

The storm could also include hail up to the size of a quarter.

The rest of DeKalb County is under a severe thunderstorm warning until 4 p.m.
