U.S. Rep. Lauren Underwood, D-Naperville, will be hosting mobile office hours on Aug. 10 in Batavia and Aug. 8 in Sycamore.
Underwood and her staff members will be at Memorial Park, 601 Illinois Ave., Batavia, from 8 to 10 a.m. Residents will have the opportunity to ask questions and share concerns with the congresswoman. Staff will be available to assist with issues such as federal grant applications, Medicare benefits, military benefits, Social Security issues and more.
According to a news release, these office hours are the first in a series of in-person and virtual office hours to be held in each of the 14th District’s seven counties during August.
Mobile office hours are a part of Underwood’s commitment to representing her district in a transparent, accountable and accessible way.
In the coming weeks, Underwood will host additional office hours in McHenry, Will, Lake, DuPage and Kendall counties, as well as online. All attendees are strongly encouraged to RSVP for an available time slot to meet with Underwood.
All attendees are required to wear masks and will be expected to follow COVID-19 social distancing guidelines recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Illinois Department of Public Health. Face masks and hand sanitizer will be available for all attendees.
Residents of the 14th District should reserve a time to meet with the congresswoman here.
