Watch DeKalb police, fire face off in wing-eating contest Wednesday at Buffalo Wild Wings

DeKALB – If you like wings and also helping children in need have a fun-filled Christmas, the DeKalb Police Department invites you to stop by Buffalo Wild Wings on Wednesday.

Members of the DeKalb Police and DeKalb Fire Departments also will face off in a wing_eating contest, set for 6 p.m. at Buffalo Wild Wings, 2466 Sycamore Road, DeKalb.

From 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., you can also bring the whole family to enjoy some wings, and 10% of all proceeds from the meals will go toward the police department’s annual Heroes and Helpers campaign, which provides holiday gifts and clothing for children in need in the DeKalb School District 428.

Just let your server know that you want your meal to go to the fundraiser and you’ll be helping a child to enjoy the holiday season.

Can’t make the event, but would still like to help? Donations can be mailed or dropped off at the DeKalb Police Department, 700 W. Lincoln Highway.
